Shown below is the drive pump that is mounted on the surface of the attack pit and pumps the bentonite slurry to the excavation face.
- Two extraction pumps will be mounted in the circuit back to the separator. The first pump will be placed in the TBM and the second one in the attack shaft.
- In long pits where the power of the machine pump is not strong enough to transport the material to the shaft, pumps would be inserted in the middle of the shaft.
