Segmental Linings
The segments are precast reinforced concrete elements that are fixed together to form a truncated cone-shaped ring.
- The quality of our segments, of their watertight joints, and of the mortar injection in the backfill that we perform in the TBM during boring, allows us to deliver a tunnel with a definitive internal finish.
- The construction of the tunnel with prefabricated ring lining allows the design of curves, both in plan and in elevation.
- The segments we place are made of reinforced concrete and are equipped with joints that support phreatic levels.
- The thrust of the tunnel boring machine is carried out on the placed segments, allowing long lengths and curved routes.
