Specialized technical assistance and engineering services

Our team actively participates in projects of:

  • Layout design, well design and planting

  • Selection of drilling equipment and TBMs

  • Geotechnical modeling and stress-strain control

  • Optimization of ramming or closed shield execution

These services are key for works with pipe ramming, vertical wells o tunnels with segments, where pre-planning and applied engineering make the difference.

We apply methodologies based on CEDEX Technical Guide on Underground Infrastructure, a national reference in the design and execution of tunnels.

Engineering and technical support service specifications

Eurohinca's technical assistance and engineering service provides specialized support in the planning and execution of trenchless solutions (microtunneling, pipe jacking, Direct Pipe, HDD and mechanized tunnels). This service is defined by the following parameters and technical scopes:

Scope of service: Assistance in feasibility studies, definition of construction methodology, preliminary design of wells, work planning, equipment selection, and technical support in critical phases of execution.

Feasibility analysis and construction method: Evaluation of the layout, depth, geotechnical conditions, water table, site constraints and ancillary services requirements to determine the most appropriate system: MTBM microtunnel, Direct Pipe, HDD or segmental tunnel.

Review of customer documentation: Analysis of plan and profile drawings, geotechnical reports, hydraulic data, interference with existing services, access and conditions of the urban or industrial environment.

Well engineering and associated civil works: Support in the definition of attack and reception wells, preliminary dimensioning, accesses, implementation elevations, machinery logistics and operational areas.

Advice on equipment selection: Recommendation of the type of head (EPB, hydro-shield, open shield), thrust power, suitable piping and accessories depending on the terrain and project requirements.

Operational and production planning: Progress estimation, cycle programming, thrust control and excavation parameters, as well as definition of intermediate stations or auxiliary systems when required by the layout.

Risk control and preventive measures: Identification of geotechnical, structural and operational risks, and mitigation proposals during planning and execution, including face stability, settlement control and well safety.

Technical follow-up during the work: Remote or on-site support for parameter interpretation, method adjustment, troubleshooting and quality validation, alignment, thrust and debris removal.

Documentation and QA/QC: Support in as-built, control protocols, leak tests, production records and final verifications according to customer requirements.

Technical assistance and engineering: quick response

What is technical assistance and engineering

Technical and engineering assistance is a support service for define, review and prepare solutions and technical documentation in trenchless projects and tunnels, from early stages to construction, according to project needs. It can be complemented with execution services such as microtunnel o pipe ramming when the scope requires it.

When to use

Used when you need reduce technical uncertainty, The project can also be used to improve the “constructability” of the layout, prepare documentation for bidding/contracting or provide technical support during execution (coordination, criteria and follow-up), especially in projects with restrictions in terms of environment, permits or existing services.

Minimum information for a first review

  • Objective of the project and its current phase (idea, preliminary project, project, work).

  • Plan/sketch of the layout and known conditioning factors (surroundings, access, occupation, services).

  • Available land information (if any) and owner/operator requirements (if applicable).

What you get after an initial review

  • Identification of main conditioning factors and critical issues to be closed.

  • Short list of missing information (if any) and recommended next steps.

If you want to move forward with a query, you can do so from Contact.

What technical assistance services does EUROHINCA offer for tunnel projects?

EUROHINCA provides comprehensive technical assistance in all phases of a tunnel project, from initial design to on-site execution. This includes advice on feasibility and feasibility studies, basic and detailed engineering, selection of appropriate machinery, and stress-strain modeling to ensure that each project is developed to the highest quality standards.

The route feasibility analysis is a key process in the planning of a tunnel project. This analysis evaluates the different tunnel routing options to determine which is the most technically, economically and environmentally feasible. EUROHINCA uses advanced techniques and engineering expertise to ensure that the selected route maximizes project efficiency and minimizes risks.

EUROHINCA offers a specialized service in the evaluation and selection of TBM (Tunnel Boring Machine) and auxiliary machinery required for a tunneling project. Our team analyzes the characteristics of the terrain, the specific requirements of the project and the operating conditions to recommend the most suitable machinery, ensuring optimal and efficient performance.

The basic design of shafts and sites is fundamental to the success of a tunneling project. At EUROHINCA, this service includes the planning and design of the access shafts and working areas required for tunnel execution. We ensure that these elements are designed to optimize the safety, efficiency and logistics of the project.

Stress-strain modeling and analysis is an advanced technical process that simulates how tunnel materials and structures will behave under different loading and stress conditions. At EUROHINCA, we use this analysis to foresee and mitigate potential structural problems, ensuring the stability and safety of the tunnel during and after its construction.

The specific technical delineation of pipe jacking is an engineering service that focuses on the design and detailed planning of projects using the pipe jacking technique, a methodology for the installation of pipes under the ground without the need for trenching. EUROHINCA offers this service to ensure that each pipe jacking project is carried out efficiently and with minimum environmental impact, complying with all applicable technical specifications and regulations.
