The objective is to avoid soil loss, over-excavation or pressure imbalances that could affect roadways, buildings, existing services or nearby infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1497\" data-end=\"1955\">In projects of <a class=\"decorated-link\" href=\"https:\/\/eurohinca.com\/en\/pipe-jacking-2\/\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\" data-start=\"1513\" data-end=\"1577\">pipe ramming<\/a>, <a class=\"decorated-link\" href=\"https:\/\/eurohinca.com\/en\/subway-terrestrial-applications\/\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\" data-start=\"1579\" data-end=\"1697\">microtunneling in terrestrial and subway applications<\/a> y <a class=\"decorated-link\" href=\"https:\/\/eurohinca.com\/en\/infrastructure-crossings\/\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\" data-start=\"1700\" data-end=\"1782\">infrastructure crossings<\/a>, This control is especially important when the route runs under roads, railroads, urban areas, networks in service or land with a high water table.<\/p>\n<h3 data-section-id=\"19ee18i\" data-start=\"1957\" data-end=\"1995\">Common causes of settlement<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1997\" data-end=\"2140\"><strong data-start=\"1997\" data-end=\"2035\">Loss of stability of the front:<\/strong> can occur in soils that are not very cohesive, saturated, variable or with low bearing capacity.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2142\" data-end=\"2291\"><strong data-start=\"2142\" data-end=\"2191\">Over-excavation or excess excavated volume:<\/strong> If more soil is extracted than is anticipated for the actual advance, voids or
