This conditions the method (usually <strong data-start=\"826\" data-end=\"918\"><a class=\"decorated-link\" href=\"https:\/\/eurohinca.com\/en\/closed-shield-tunnel-boring-machines\/\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\" data-start=\"828\" data-end=\"916\">closed shield tunnel boring machines<\/a><\/strong> if water or granular soils are present), the excavation plan and the contingency plan.<\/p><p data-start=\"1041\" data-end=\"1627\"><strong data-start=\"1041\" data-end=\"1116\">2) Licensee's requirements: permits, methodology and specific studies<\/strong><br data-start=\"1116\" data-end=\"1119\" \/>Additional documentation (construction method, risk assessment, auscultation) and specific studies are usually required for high-capacity railways\/metro lines or high-capacity roads. <strong data-start=\"1300\" data-end=\"1326\">settling\/vibration<\/strong> depending on the manager (e.g., road or rail administrations). In practice, this is managed as part of the <strong data-start=\"1443\" data-end=\"1588\"><a class=\"decorated-link\" href=\"https:\/\/eurohinca.com\/en\/how-are-subway-infrastructure-crossings-managed\/\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\" data-start=\"1445\" data-end=\"1586\">management of subway infrastructure crossings<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p><p data-start=\"1629\" data-end=\"2279\"><strong data-start=\"1629\" data-end=\"1687\">3) Front and groundwater pressure monitoring<\/strong><br data-start=\"1687\" data-end=\"1690\" \/>If there is <strong data-start=\"1697\" data-end=\"1720\">high water table<\/strong> or high pressures, the constraint becomes keeping the face balanced to avoid seepage, fines entrainment and settling. That conditions lengths, logistics and structural design of the well (reaction wall, hoisting, mud plant).
