The work was carried out with the <strong data-start=\"450\" data-end=\"487\">dam completely filled with water<\/strong>This was a highly complex technical challenge. For this purpose, the <strong data-start=\"568\" data-end=\"601\">Hydroshield DN1000 tunnel boring machine<\/strong>ensuring a safe and accurate excavation to <strong data-start=\"650\" data-end=\"678\">18 meters deep<\/strong>.<\/p><h2 data-start=\"681\" data-end=\"723\"><strong data-start=\"684\" data-end=\"721\">Location and context of the project<\/strong><\/h2><p data-start=\"724\" data-end=\"1107\">The Oliana Dam is a key infrastructure in the regulation of the flow of the Segre River. Its maintenance and modernization require specialized interventions to ensure its operation without affecting its structural stability.
